trivial, but no one really cares, right?

REASONS TO MISS LONDON #1: BEING ABLE TO WEAR WHAT YOU LIKE WITHOUT FEELING INCREDIBLY SELF-CONSCIOUS

It's not like I want to go out in some Gareth Pugh concotion (oh dear lord I cannot contain my disdain for that man) or have 3 arms. It's hot and I want to wear something that no one would look twice at in London - a purple striped boating blazer, muddy green vest, cut off short shorts and little vintage heels. Oh and a big gold necklace. It sounds horrid, it isn't.
All I want to do is take the metro and go and lounge in Parc Monceau on the grass, reading overpriced magazines and soaking up some sun so I'm not all pasty (hello sunbathing at the standard hotel). I don't want to have to deal with leers from creepy men and funny stares at my jacket and bare legs. I'm not in the mood for feeling self-conscious, but I know that conservatively dressed Paris (most people outside are in jeans! and it's nearly 30 degrees!) will make me feel like that.

I also miss my wardrobes at home. Ones that are actually in the same room as my bed, that actually have space to see things, where the rail isn't 2 feet above my head.

rant over.
