[1] The Dream (With Mal and Cori)
In his dream, he was standing alone on a beach, staring out at the ocean.
Inexplicably, there was an elevator several hundred feet away. But then, this was a dream.
There was no one in sight, though he knew that she was close by. Walking with the children on the beach. That's what he remembered. That's how it was supposed to go. They would be back soon.
But for now he was alone, staring at the waves, trying not to let himself be overcome by the thoughts and emotions that pushed at him like the incessant wind whipping through his hair. Try as he might, though, he could not keep his dour mood from affecting the weather.
There was a storm coming in.
