A interesting day...

I woke up today very tierd and I realized that it was inauguration day...I decided not to go to school today because of it. I am glad I did. I watched the event for about 6 hours. It was history in the making. Mr Bush had a very good speech, it sounded like something a democrat would say but it was a good message overall (I don't feel like getting int details) I got to see the old guard fife drum and bugle corps, that was a real treat for me, even if it was on a crappy TV. The Presidents own band sounded amazing, it was not as amazing as Reagans Funeral, but it was still a great day for our country.

I had the Brass Ensemble read my "promise of living" arrangement, it went very well. We did it at the very end but It was still a great reading. I think I may start publishing some of my stuff. I am going to start a new arrangement tonight because that is the only productive thing I feel like doing. I suck at composition from a theory stand point but I think my brass writing is good, thanks to some tricks I stole from Jay BoCook :-)

My chops feel really bad right now, I am not sure why so I am not going to practice tonight :-( I am pissed about this. I have a lesson with Mr. Jolley tomorrow, I hope I feel better by then. It is very frustrating to feel that way. Well my lead pipe is definitely too short...I compared it to my friend Katie's and it was about a half in shorter, that can be a huge difference in the intonation. I gusse the person who owned the horn before me played lower in the horn then I do. I will have to send the horn out to California, I am not happy at all about this.
