Stress
This week is working out better then I thought. I have been taking it one day at a time and it seems to work for me. I have nothting to do tonight except make some publisity calls for my brass group, Practice at least 2 hours, and study for 3. So it will be a fairly easy night.
I feel like I fit in very well at Mannes, I just like how small the classes are. Everythinng just feels better like that. I love the school so much. I decided it is where I want to spend my whole undergrad, because as u get older u get seinority.
I have been very happy with my horn playing lately. I have really reduced my movment to almost nothing. It feels great. Once in awhile I piss some nots in a run because I am still learn the tech but as far as flat out hitting a note, it is going great. I have been nailing stuff left and right doing this but I still have a very long way to go. Intonation is still something that has sufferd, 1 Because I have a new horn and 2 because of my new Tech. Soon I will be testing a C 8 cup, so that will hurt it further but I think it will help in the long run.
The Cadets have annonced there 2005 program, "the zone" it seems interesting. www.yea.org check it out. This is something that I know will change the drum corps activity, at least as I see it in my head. Who knows...
I was looking at some christmas decorations for my appartment, but honestly. Why should I buy them? I never really have people over, so I dont see why. I have the little tree from last year. It is ok I gusse, it can be very pretty in the dark, but its just so small and it has fiberoptic lights, its a very special tree.
I love New Yorkers, as I sit here in the subway writting my journal I see people everyday just comutting. I renember being in Rome and just seeing how slow everything was, I love the intence nature of NYC. Most people out there say this is there moto "If I can get an A- with 1 hour of studying and an A+ with 4, I am going to do 1" In general in the united states its "who can work the hardest" aditude that really propells our country and helps our campitalistic society sucsessed. BTW I was Quoting my friend Danny, he is from London. He makes a great point with all of that.
I am going to take a nice hot Bath when I get home :-) my shower still has little hot water... There is just somethinng about a hot bath that is devine...
