Heya :) I'm still alive. Surprisingly so, but I am... I've only been home twice since Friday morning, and that only to sleep.
Here's a brief overview:
Friday: I find out that the fugue exposition is due Monday morning. I freak out. After shepherding my little auditionee around and having orchestra, we leave for Cleveland at 7 pm. Sleep on the floor of a hotel for about 7 hours. Ow.
Saturday: Cleveland. Will detail you on that later.
Sunday: Get back to Lisa's dorm at 2:30 AM. Go to sleep at 3 AM. Get up at 7 AM. Skip church, work on my fugue subject. 2 hour Dress rehearsal. Church. 2h30 rehearsal for quintet w/ sax soloist (Scaramouche, Milhaud). Didn't get home til 12:30.
Monday. Skipped 9 AM theory, since I was exhausted and hadn't finished the fugue. Warmed up. Wind Symphony. Worked out. Tried to call Camp. Went to Opera. Found out I had been switched to play in the Orchestra instead. Taught lessons. Horn studio- tore my horn apart and actually managed to put it together again! Dress rehearsal for Hannah (the saxophonist) 's recital 10-11:30. Weather was absolutely horrible. Slept on Bill's fouton. Fortunately I'm friends with his roomate, since Bill didn't come home until 2 AM and he had to talk to me and keep me entertained. Or maybe we're not friends and he just likes cookies (I promised him food).
Tuesday. Went to bed at 3, got up at 7. You do the math. Conducting. Lesson. More fugue work. Recital. Studied theory. GOT TO GO HOME TO SLEEP!!!!!!! YES!
There you go. Now I'm going to warm up. And then I'll come back here and tell you all about Cleveland. Because it rocked.
