So, summer is here and I'm not taking summer school classes so I'm finding I have a lot more free time on my hands and wanting to have something to read while the kids play at the park and whatnot. Last summer I listened to on audio book and read the better part of the Harry Potter series. Now I'm looking for more good stuff to read this summer. I recently finished a Anais Nin Journal, that was interesting...I want to finish reading Persepolis soon since I want to read it before I watch the movie version, even though it's really short I find graphic novels hard to get through for whatever reason...I guess It's the combination of text and pictures that I find hard to follow, it's like I'm trying to read yet constantly distracted by bold graphics I end up having to read the text several times to get whats going on, I never grew up reading comics so I dunno, I find them distracting to read to my already scattered brain. It was the same thing when I tried to get through the sandman series.
I'm thinking of starting The Time Traveler's Wife soon, I picked it up at a book sale at my work 'cause it looked good. Anyone here read this, any good?
Any more suggestions? I'm probably gonna read Half Blood Prince again before the movie version comes out. Excited for that, but it's not coming out till November.
