*applause* Still love it. Funny reading it back after all this time - like I said on fic_contest, by the time you posted I'd already decided no one would fill it and written 2000 words of my own idea - so after reading it the meme and reccing it to my flist, I deliberately held off re-reading so I could work on my own idea without accidentally pinching things. It's funny reading the two versions of Papa Hawkeye's study. I also totally forgot that in yours, as in mine, Roy is actually after the notebooks (but then, of course he would be!).

Anyway, as I said on the meme, this was plenty funny. Loved Roy's comment "now you've made him sad", Riza's open mockery of his 'prime rib', and uh, this:

"Master Hawkeye promised to turn Roy's cock into an overdone sausage if it ever came anywhere near Riza." The image of Papa Hawkeye actually saying this is going to keep me giggling all day.

I'm glad you liked it. Yeah I know what you mean about deciding no one would fill it (looks at the hughes/roy, Royai sections of the revised meme)

I figure it's not much of a stretch to have Roy looking for those journals. It would probably be the first thing in his mind.

Roy still hasn't forgiven me for all the unkind things Riza said about his boy parts. Which upon rereading I think some of the came subconsciously from an old Red Dwarf epsiode.

I know! I'm so close to filling a Hughes/Roy, first time I'd have written that ship but feel so bad to see it unfilled, especially when there's so much potential fun to be had. Same with Royai, far too quiet. Your proposal!fail fic rocked.

Was it the Red Dwarf ep when Kryten got turned human? As a Brit teenager I was of course obsessed with Red Dwarf for a couple of years - was actually having a conversation tonight with a friend about how much, retrospectively, we could admit identifying with Rimmer and his actually rather cool geekery.

P.S. I really liked it! Thanks so much for filling. Hee hee hee Riza, I always think she has a hidden cheeky side and I like it when other authors speculate in the same way.

I'm working on one Hughes/ROy now but there are only a few I CAN fill since the rest are mine (ditto Royai). Glad you liked what I did with yours though. Riza has to be a bit ornery. She survives Roy and Havoc daily.

Yep, that would be the Red Dwarf in question. My mother and I laughed so hard through that one we couldn't breathe. I loved the first few seasons of that. I think I identified more with Kryten
