State Store day
For those who don't know PA does not allow the sale of alcohol at anything other than state run stores (and beer at beer distributors) On one hand it's a pain because it's a special trip (also you can not get it sent to you from online here) on the other hand my WalMarts and Krogers in OH can't come close to this dedicated selection. I won't buy much. 100$ and several bottles later....whatcha gonna do with that sweet vermouth Dana? Huh? Huh? whatcha gonna do? (manhattans dammit)
Other than that I spent the day making pizzelle cookies. load up iron, PRESS, get cookie off, rinse and repeat. Wanna cookie?
Word of warning about the open call I shared yesterday. shipperslist spotted something I missed. It has a rather right wing version of what a marriage is and it is also royalties only (which suck in most anthologies) so yeah that feels like a huge red flag.

Day 18 - get in touch with a relative. They called here but I'm counting it (not good news either, might be at a funeral by the holiday)
Day 18 tea - Sugar Plum Fairy - tisane, green rooibos, cloves, rosehips, hibiscus, blackberry leaves, strawberry and raspberry pieces, mallow blossoms, plum flavoring and vanilla. Honestly I bought this one for mom last year and I find it actually sour with the rosehips/hibiscus. It is not one I'd buy again
What I Just Finished Reading:
Minstrels in the Galaxy (the SF anthology I'm in) (but I'm claiming it in January because it fits a prompt I don't want to hunt down because it's hard and for 2 weeks we're calling it Jan 1)
What I am Currently Reading:
The Vanishing at Smokestack Hollow - true crime, not bad, lots of side quests though
The Lost House - icelandic noir arc, this one is harder to read because the main character is coming off a devestating leg injury...
What I Plan to Read Next: working thru a bunch of mystery paperbacks to get them out of here.
