I'm terrible at spatial stuff

Nov 25, 2024 23:12

I think it's why I preferred hammer toe surgery or amputations to tackling bunions where I had to visualize angles (now they have a tool that does it for you. I would have murdered for it back in the day). Anyhow I am FINALLY cleaning up some of the shit I said I would since August. And to my surprise one tote fit on one book shelf....so are you telling me that one more bookcase is all I really needed?!? Okay no it's not perfect and I did have to put a bunch of manga into the totes to make room (Manga I will reread and don't want to get rid of) and tossed out dozens of others (by which i mean donate to the library, am shoving into my friends' holiday gifts, hi, it's your problem now)

On the same day I learned we're keeping the worst insurance in America (literally if they weren't insurance they've have been sued out of existence by now) I found out from my doctor they have been LYING to them. Again. Not for the first, second or even third time this year. I explained this pattern to the surgeon's nurse and she has plans to rid rough shod over them. I'm EMBARASSED to go to the doctors any more knowing what Medical Mutual of Garbage will put them through and I had to go thru it 30 years ago when I was a doctor in OH knowing these fools were never paying me.

In better news I'm on the LAST chapter of the novel. I could cry. Finally finishing it. Speaking of finishing, thanks again to everyone who chimed in on yesterday's post about it.

Let's continue with the Music Monday on Wednesday this time but this time I'll start with sharing songs that contain a certain color, starting with the rainbow and picking up a few of the other biggies down the road. Feel free to chime in with your favorite song(s) that follow the weekly letter. Hit me with your favs. I love hearing new music or revisiting older pieces. Green is the next color in the rainbow.

There are so many green songs but like always I'm going with the ones I know/like. There were a lot I did not like... Share away with yours too

I'm on the fence about this one but hey, Wales

I debated on this one. I like the song. It's how I feel about living in the country. Tim McGraw remains unforgiven by me for a couple of things, almost 25 years ago I guess he and Kenny Chesney stole a police horse and McGraw roughed up the officer when he tried to stop him and that was when I was already pissed at him for what he did in South Dakota. The Lakota people asked him for one favor at his concert there, DO NOT sing Indian Outlaw. This song is wildly racist (even for the 90s when people were saying that then and it had NO business being so popular but then again there is a chunk of that fandom that are...) He basically told them fuck off I'm doing it. I never attended a concert with him or bought another album from him after that.

But in the end I still really like this song

Tidbit - He’d barely been aware he could move water and had never tried to do it on such a large scale, admitting as much over the full Welsh breakfast he’d cooked for everyone, or as close as he could get in America. American bacon was nothing like the Welsh back bacon. No one here knew what laverbread was and when he suggested they needed cockles, he was surprised he hadn’t been strapped naked to a pole outside and the tomatoes he fried up flung at him.

At least this close to Pittsburgh, they had an endless supply of Heinz products so he was able to do beans on toast
