I managed to get through the day by going to work. I had to meet my advisee and get her registered for spring. I've never touched Anthology our new student management system before. Thank God JM was there and he helped me. He's a patient man and grew up very near me ironically. I'm glad he's in the school of science because I've heard all the Anthology horror stories. I hated how the course listing worked (you can't get our whole list at once, oh no, because that makes sense) but I caught on and got my student fixed up.
I did, however, beg off going with TH tonight to hear the talk about Lord Dunsmore's war. It was an interesting topic (He touched off the Battle of Point Pleasant) and if this had been closer I would have gone. But it was like 30 miles off and it was rainy and windy roads and dark and I'm piss poor company today. I was afraid I'd drive us all the way there and sit there for an hour with the election results spinning in my head, hearing nothing of the talk.
What I Just Finished Reading:
Lies on the Serpent's tongue by Kate Pearsall -loved it. If you've not read Bittersweet in the Hollow, you'd be better off reading that first.
The Nighthouse by Jo Nesbo - this is weird and ended weirder
This Place of Silence: Ohio's Cemeteries and Burial Grounds by Ian Adams, a coffee table book on Ohio cemeteries, really nice information. I've been to a lot of these places and now i know there's a Catholic cemetery in Columbus that has the grave of serial killer
Anna Maria Hahn. (field trip)
