Glad I had an excuse
For not going to trivia night (I was going to go to the silent book club at the library) because L is so much drama at the moment and I'm not up to it. I however didn't go to the club either. I still didn't come home until 530 today and that's the earliest I've been in all week and I'd have to eat out to make that book club and I had no energy for anything.
I'm excited because unconventionalcourtship is going to run again this year. I would love to do that silly thing and maybe doing the one I planned last year but ran out of time for. Maybe.
And I see literally days before Camp Nano usually starts we're seeing emails for it. As someone else on my list said we were wondering what the hell was going on and if they were doing it after the controversy in Nov. I'll probably do it. I don't know if they opened the forum but I haven't gone to those in years anyhow. The way I see the controversy is I haven't heard HOW they handled the issues (of racist comments, sexual comments) I heard about it and the next day the forums were locked. I have no idea if it took a long time to get that enacted or if it was almost immediate. That's the part that matters more to me. I know that there is absolutely no way of stopping those comments, especially using volunteer work, because assholes are everywhere but if they ignored it until people screamed that would bother me. Sigh.
So I did say I'd be doing the fandom post today for the fannish 50 thing. I'm just doing a rec post for Hazbin Hotel fandom. Assume none of this is SFW. I assume that advances in software has allowed a lot more fan animations than my earlier fandoms could have dreamed of. Also some of the fan original songs are blowing me away. If I thought both of these were something in The Owl House and Critical Role fandoms, they are equally impressive in Hazbin's.
Okay this isn't fan created. This is a dub of vivziepop's webcomic prequel by paranoid DJ who I think IS a fan (but also a musician/Voice actor) but is putting out high quality stuff. Honestly I wish this had been in the actual show but I guess because it and the pilot had been out for years they didn't want to spend the money.

and someone did an animatic to that song which apparently has an alternative last stanza. Same content warnings but with additional gas lighting from Valentino and lots of pole dancing
One of the more well known (as far as I know can you believe I'm at this level in 2 weeks) artists and another of Paranoid DJ's songs. All those same content warnings plus drug use, suicide attempt and domestic violence (really Dana what IS this fandom?!?)
I have a soft spot for analysis videos (but not so much reaction videos. I watched a couple and don't get it. Why are people watching these (other than the doctor reactions or some other professional giving that kind of reaction) because the dude watching it just spewed out his opinions and bragged how much money doing these was making him and I dunno maybe I'm jealous I never thought of it).
I've shared this one before but a) she's done almost all the characters now b) Angel is a controversial character because some people think it's trying to show sexual abuse in a good light. I disagree but I can see why they'd think that if they're only listening to the words of Angel's two songs, Poison and Addict and not watching the expressions. I DO wish Addict's video slowed down a bit so we could see Angel's pain, curled up on his cum stained sheets more clearly (words I never thought I'd type) CW - sexual, physical and emotional abuse, well it IS a video on abuse
