the biopsy

I decided to separate this out from the other post I'm going to make because that's a fan post and who wants to scroll past this.

So we did do the biopsy. I did say hey, no one said this was what was going to happen. And I think she was annoyed I had no questions for her but we HAD talked about this at length. I explained why I couldn't come do the d & c. She said she'd take me home as it's on her way. She meant it. Still doesn't get me TO the hospital.

Anyhow we did the biopsy (in spite of not having time to clear the blood thinners from my system so this will be fun). While waiting I did see the work up on Mirena IUD and sure enough it IS now being touted for helping to stop heavy bleeding so if you have that issue, maybe speak to your OB/GYN about it.

I laid it out. If it's just normal hyperplasia of the tissue, we can do the IUD or hysterectomy at my leisure. If it's cancerous then obviously I will have that much faster. Mom can come down then maybe (holy crap the things going on back home) or I can get my friend's retired wife to help I think. I have to go back on Friday to talk about it because my home phone keeps crapping out and you can't get my cell out here. No phone medicine for me.

The biopsy went well. My cervix is happy to dilate if you poke it right (though it definitely feels like the worst menstural cramps) so they got the sample. Of course at this point bleeding it going to be a thing. She looked at me and said 'you're tough.' (probably because I was yapping about everything I was going to do this weekend without pause. Please, you need a LOT more than that bit of pain to phase me.)
