Today was a ball of suck

Weather channel - gonna be 67 and sunny. Looks outside into the grey deluge. Rain made it easier to accept I needed to stay home and work. Cold rain will do that. I had no issues getting my blood drawn and I did stop at the local new donut shop (I want to support the downtown area). So far so good. I get to CVS and they handed me an ENORMOUS bag of insulin. I said this is too much. No it's right. I decide I'm not arguing in the drive through. I go in and the pharmacist is like WTF is this even? 8 boxes? I said someone doesn't know their math. You need doing this. I need literally one and a half boxes (they can no longer break boxes) fine then give me two boxes. She's like how did they even get this past your insurance? They filled 2 different insulin scrips at 90 days not 30.

But by the time that's straightened out I'm worked up. I forgot two of the four things I went into Kroger's for and forgot to stop at a store I needed to. Sigh.

I come home and start working on my lab exam. Canva, last I looked, had stickers, little hearts and stars but today all they had were grey shapes which who wants gray and they looked bad on the pictures. I ended up having to use the free Christmas stickers so now I have to write an exam that says the muscle labeled with the Santa face....

My friend/Co-worker L called. She's covid + so I've been exposed to Covid but the health dept doesn't think it was long enough for me to quarantine. Good to hear since I was out in public all damn day (masked but still). Because that's not going to make me paranoid (especially having GI issues all day and having light headedness (my sugar as it turned out)). That vaccine can't get here fast enough.

And not five minutes after that call ended I got a call from Holzer Jackson saying they were lodging a lawsuit against me for fraudulent use of my SS number. I answered because I had just been at Holzer today. I dialed back. It was their assisted living. They're putting their IT dept on it since they were spoofed.

But there is good news. I didn't realize how many stories went into this open call so now I'm pretty damned proud of this anthology which you can preorder (it won't be out til April) here.

As for tomorrow, Pumpkin soup is made, honey cinnamon sweet potato chunks are roasted (ruined my pan but they're done) and the turkey is brining. I think I'm in good shape. Rather proud of the fact that all the aromatics for tomorrow's dinner were grown by me.
