My Boroughs of the Dead ticket went into my spam folder and I didn't find it till after 9:00. Sigh. I was looking forward to that, too. I'll remember to check the spam if I sign up for this again.

One of my favorite fiction authors, Anne McCaffery's blurb below her head shot ended with "...and the rest changes without notice." (She used the same photo for close to thirty years.) I never have figured if she meant that the rest of her appearance changed so slowly she didn't notice or if it changed so quickly without warning. (like water weight gain.)

I don't care what a author looks like so long as they can paint a vivid picture with their words.
Great storytellers can describe a place you've never been, but you can imagine it in full color from their choice of words.
