Dinner ended up a bust as Rivers sold out flooding the casino with nearly four thousand people and you couldn't get near the dining hall. I've never heard of that pond being haunted at the RBC and considering there was a time when I went there pretty much every time I went over to the island, which was frequent. Weird what you find out about where you live from other people. That said it's a lovely shot.

the back of it is also supposedly haunted (the cherry tree is supposedly haunted by the first gov.)

keeping in mind this was on a ghost walk.

Whee for girly drinks, indeed! And I wouldn't have wanted to see Joan Rivers, either.

I was so looking forward to seeing the Perseids this weekend, and we are totally inundated with smoke from wildfires right now - it stinks, and this morning it was so thick I literally couldn't see across the street. The outdoor tourism things here have shut down, to keep people from being outside breathing it for extended periods. This sucks!! (Not to mention what it is doing to my sinuses - I've had a sinus induced migraine since yesterday morning.) So unless a major rain/windstorm blows through, no meteor showers for us here, sadly. :(

I'm a good sixty miles from where the main fires are, if not more, but the smoke is outrageous. Where the girls and mom live is 20 miles closer, and it's even worse there. Hopefully tonight we will get some thunderstorms (50% chance) and it will disperse some of it.

A good drunk now and then can have definite therapeutic value.

Drat, you missed the girly drinks for last week's prompt in FMA Fic Contest. I mean, you could've used Long Island Ice Teas or something. :D

Glad you had fun at the casino, despite the influx of Joan River fans.

Good for the gambling. Playing with Gandalf is probably always fun?
