I would very much appreciate it if everyone would learn to mind their own business and keep their noses out of other people's affairs.  I'm rather tired of being included in all of the water cooler gossip as one would sincerely think for people to actually get to work would be entirely too much to ask for.

Perhaps you'd like to whine about your oh so wretched life a little more, Uryuu?  Maybe I should just start up a special therapy fund since your father lives to torment you so, at least then you can whine to someone who gets paid to hear about it day in and day out.

Matsumoto-san, my sincerest apologies for my...inappropriate and unprofessional behavior last week.  Please note that I do not hold you to anything as I'm sure that neither of us were of a proper mind at the time.  I do believe now that we've both regained our sensibilities it would possibly be for the best that I decline from your gracious offer.  I did however, want to thank you again for the return of my belongings.

[Private to Self - Completely Unhackable]
...I cannot believe that I allowed myself to be maneuvered into such a predicament.  If the whole row with Isshin hadn't been enough, I was paid a little visit by the receptionist Rangiku-san. She was kind enough to drop off my missing reports from the trickster's little shifting of belongings.  Somehow she had also managed to end up with my cigarettes, very odd as everyone else only had singular pieces here and there.  But I digress.  The young lady had stopped by on her way out Friday afternoon and had caught me...less then at my best.  After finally kicking everyone out of my office from that whole debacle, there was no way I could bring myself to focus on my work so I had pulled out that lovely bottle of 16 year old Lagavulin Kisuke had been kind enough to gift me with for my birthday (the damnable man does have good taste in this arena if nowhere else) and helped myself to a dram to hopefully calm my nerves a bit.  Apparently my nerves were a little worse then expected as suddenly it was nearing five o'clock and the bottle was missing a goodly portion.

People hadn't stopped banging on my door from the time I had shut and locked the damned thing, so I hadn't paid any attention to yet another troublesome busybody, but that she had announced that she had somethings of mine.  If it hadn't been for that reason (and perhaps just a little too much to drink on an empty stomach), especially in the state that I had been in I would have sent the meddlesome woman on her way.  But for some God-forsaken reason, I let her in.  Not only had she been kind enough to bring my missing things, apparently Kisuke had intercepted her and sent up some of his curry that I have a particular fondness for.  Hn.  He was probably on his way to pester me personally hoping the offering would allow him through the door but thought better of it.  Wishful thinking I'm sure.

I...honestly don't remember much of what was said or done after letting the woman in, but the thing that I did recall quite clearly was that apparently we're to be attending the company party.  Together.

It is my mission this week to get this...date called off.
