Third issue of Corner Flag
First of all: a belated thank you to everyone who contributed to Issue 2, the wonderful writers and the readers who took the time to give feedback. We couldn't have done it without you all.
Sign-ups for Issue 3 will open on 1 July 2008, two days after the Euro 2008 final. Unlike the previous issues, which focused on club football, the theme for Issue 3 will be uncommon intra-national team pairings/twosomes. Writings on any national team in any tournament or competition are welcome, from the 1974 World Cup to the 2008 Olympics, from the women's senior team to the men's U-21s -- to name just some examples.
Unfortunately, this does mean a corresponding cut in writing time. We'd like to have the issue on on 15 August, in time for the first round of matches for the 2008/2009 Bundesliga season. The deadline for submitting stories therefore is 8 August, which gives writers slightly over five weeks to complete their stories, though of course there's nothing stopping people from planning their stories far before the actual sign-up date. *g*
