Welcome to the sign-up post for Issue 8 of cornerflag! As some of us head back to school, the theme is:

Academy

You may interpret it any way you wish: two teammates on a youth team, for example, or former teammates taking up coaching a youth team, or current teammates who were also teammates at the youth level. (Just to clarify: the fic does not have to take place at an academy to qualify.) Feel free to be creative! This theme is optional -- you're still free to write whatever you like, though we strongly encourage you to take up the theme. Stories that are written for the theme will be marked out for the readers' attention. You do still have to adhere to the club-twosome rule, though!

The usual rules and guidelines apply. Note: while we do our best to keep track of popular pairings in fandom, we can't always keep up with what's hot in clubs the editors have little interest in, so we accept sign-ups on trust that the twosome you choose is an uncommon one. If we do know that the pairing you want is not rare, we reserve the right to ask you to choose a different one.

To sign up, please leave a comment with the following information:

• the club and characters you intend write for,
• whether it's gen or slash (both m/m and f/f) or het,
• and a pseudonym if desired. Please indicate as such if that's the case -- your comment will be duly screened.

Reminder: Each club is limited to only two stories (with certain exceptions -- see #8 on the list of rules and guidelines) and each writer may only sign up for one club. This post will be updated with a list of writers sorted by club, so you can see if all the slots for a particular club are taken up.

Issue 8 will be published on 21 January 2012, when the Bundesliga goes back to school returns from winter break.
