March is the time for...(...then again, when is *not* the Time For?)

Always really cool to see a friend saying "On the plus side, I have HUGE exciting news to share in a week+ with y'all!".

::waits the week+::

---

For the first time in *ever*, across how many jobs now? - have full access to both my work e-mail and the entire company network from my home computer...I mean, this don't in of itself mean I'll start working from home/working summer hours any time soon - but hey, at least theoretically, I now *can*!

---

On a related topic, though - like I've said so many times, no, I'm rarely in the mood to regret things. But, what I still find myself going back to so many times is opportunities that were right there, right in front of me - that I for whatever reason did not go through with all the way. All the times I slacked off in class or just plain-out did not do things in class that were expected of me. The jobs that I did not take nearly as much advantage of as I could have. The writing opportunities that I did not pursue.

I mean, yeah, in the end of everything, what I *did* pursue still put me where I am. But it's still always a bit hard to look at what I have - and compare it to other people who did take those same kinds of opportunities, and made so much more of them.

...and then I come into the office, and the cover article in the new issue of a magazine that's sitting on my desk is a profile of a guy who, at 34, is already a partner at a mid-size, but hey, well-known/well-established firm.

...yeah...
