I loved Chicago for many reasons. It's a magical city. It's a real city. It's enchanting, comfortable and practical. Most importantly, I'm discovering, I loved Chicago because it was my time to do as I pleased. I was free to be myself and to discover many things about living alone, enjoying the solitude and embracing the city.
I finally unpacked my things in Las Vegas and set up my bedroom in my own fashion. I came to the realization that it isn't entirely Chicago that I missed, but being in my own space, free to be among my comforts. I tasted that same magic and love that I've been missing for six months since I've left Chicago. I am rediscovering how comfortable it is to be myself.
