And I walk up to the fence that separates the forbidden borders.
And I won't cross, but rest my head against the fence post
and stare across the fields into the into the breezy unknown
and wonder what lies in existence for those on the other side.
Not with want for another life,
but simply for want, itself.
The desire for contentment will see the edges of my life
and lean against its borders
and stare into the vast limitations
until the sun is setting and the coolness becomes uncomfortable
and it becomes time to turn around and walk back into its permitted regions.
Simply for want, itself.
