So apparently I said I would elaborate on the Sigur Ros concert.

I'll start with the venue, the Tivoli. I think its an old theatre, its furnishings reminded me a bit of the 50's and it was extremely approriate, the stage was smallish, but the whole room was, so it was very intimate, there was a balcony above with people sitting on the edge with their arms and legs through the archaic rails, with several more people crowded around them.

The Support band was Anima, which is actually Sigur Ros' strings section, and they were fascinating. Its kind of hard to describe them, but they "made" music, and they did an awesome job of it. At one stage one of the synthesizer keyboards they had screwed up, and instead of playing a bassy electric note, it made a farting sound, much to the awkward amusement of the band. It was good though, as everyone in the crowd laughed with them, and after the song they probably got their biggest cheer of the night, not including the applause at the end of their set.

There was a short wait for Sigur Ros, but fortunately the lactic acid in my legs hadn't completely pooled (I was standing near the front). It's hard to describe them, so all I can say was it was fucking awesome. They played every song I wanted to hear, minus one, which I listened to when I got home and realised that unless the singer cloned himself it would've been impossible.

The weirdest thing at the show was the crowd. At every concert I've been to, when the main band gets on stage, people rush to the front and things become very compact. At Sigur Ros, there was a small surge, but overall there was little to no body contact whatsoever between audience members. I felt bad everytime I bumped someone haha, but either way it was great.

So yeah, I guess I didnt really explain anything then, but it was really really good, and I recommend anyone who has the chance to see them to do so, regardless of travel issues, or ex-boyfriends who might be at the show, cause their music is just that good.

Also, I'm falling harder and harder for Deathcab for Cutie, Transatlanticism is a massively sexy album.

Goodnight, I love you all.
