I've finished out/ made it through my summer program and doing so has prompted me to start thinking more critically about my professional life. As you can see from my previous entry, I have struggled with the concept of having a true and unique identity. I've always worked extremely hard to maintain appearances, but I think that maybe it can serve me well in the long run since when navigating in this world, everything is about maintaining appearances. While I despise that notion and would love to do whatever I could to change that fact, I feel as though I have to "follow the rules" enough to get my foot in the door. I don't know...I just feel empowered and inspired to get to working on my dream.
In other news, I found a pair of Steve Madden boots in Goodwill today. I can't tell if they're legit Steve Maddens or not. The shoe is called "Waltz" and I only found them on some other website that doesn't look very credible. I kind of hope they're real, because then I'll feel lucky.
...Anyway, I guess that's it for today. I have a dental appointment tomorrow. I'll write about the details of that tomorrow.
