Okay so today I had my first class of J-term which is like taking a class outside of your major. The class is called Singing Against the Machine, which is a class on protest and political songs. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it turned out to be amazing. We talked about what made us mad in society and our nation and the teacher is brilliant and awesome and everyone is just so...cool. Or should I say slack? Anyway, I agreed with everything they said. There are many cool people in the class like Amanda, Olivia, Mack, Jon, Joe, Erienne, and nice people that I don't really know yet. But I am going to change the world. I mean... I get passionate about a lot of things but usually they fizzle out pretty soon. I have felt this way for a long time. And I don't want to do these things just so I can say that I did...I just think that the world, or at least America, can be a pretty fucked up place and i think I can do something. Right when I got home I made a list of all the things we talked about and then made a list of possible ways I could fix them. I hate feeling lazy...like I haven't accomplished anything in my life. I want to leave a mark. I need to do something with myself..I have a recent obsession with walks again so maybe I will do that. Nighttime walks are especially nice.
