Mini Rant :)
Here is my mini rant about work :) It's that time of year where all I do is work, work, and more work.
I am basically a glorified answering machine when I answer the phone. Insurance is pretty much German to me, what I know is simply from being in the insurance office environtment for the past five summers and counting. So I answer the phone and hope to goodness they are nice people on the other line. Half the people assume I know what I am doing and just tell me what they need and then they get all attitudinal when I say well sorry I can't help you and the people who can help you are busy so I will gladly take a message and have them call you back. (Anyone know a nicer way to say this so maybe people wont get mad at me?) AND BY THE WAY- 100% of the time the people get a call back within the hour, so stop with the attitude!! The second option is, that the person on the other end of the line asks for someone specifically and gets all pissy when they are busy and I yet again ask to take a message!! The best! however, is the multi-taskers. These are the people who have decided to call while driving to who knows where. These are usually the people who we actually need to have them call somewhere else so they need to write down a number and while talking on the phone and driving is a rather simple task- driving, phone and writing! not a good combo and not a good combo to be telling your INSURANCE agent you are doing!!
That's my rant. Moral of the story- be nice to the shleps just doing their jobs!!
To end on a high note: I fought the copier and won today!!! All I wanted to do was make a damn copy and well it decided to get a paper jam. I Search and Destroyed that dam paper jam! And all in a skirt no less. I am Woman hear me rawr!
I am also successfuly MAJORLY cleaning out the fileing cabinets :)
