Somewhere out there beneath the big blue sky.
My friend Stephen just called me. His coast gaurd unit is being sent down to the gulf. He has to drop out of classes because he will be gone for two months. Crazy how much of an impact something happening across the nation can have. Its weird to think that I am here in my apartment content, my biggest worry is the homework due tomorrow, and somewhere some miles away people dont know when, if ever, they will be able to go home. I have a general idea of what tomorrow will bring for me, they have no idea, they can only hope it gets better.
So I would like to take this moment to be grateful for the things I have. I know my family is safe. I have a roof over my head. The streets aren't rivers. I would like to send out a prayer to all those suffering tonight. I pray that things get back to some sort of normal as soon as possible. I pray that people find their loved ones.
