On a serious note
This post requests some feedback.
Jess and I are going to Dragon*Con. We went last year and it was awesome. This year, in order to prevent shenanigans, I reserved two hotel rooms at the Hilton (1 of the 3 main convention hotels). I had envisioned this grand adventure with all of my friends, throwing an awesome room party, etc. I know Jonny has a ticket, and I believe Jeph does as well. I'm not sure about Albert/Daniel or the rest.
If you already have a ticket for Dragon*Con and/or are planning on getting one, and need a room to stay in, please reply to this entry and tell me. Right now, the only people I know who are planning on going are myself, Jess, Jonny, and Jeph. I've heard plenty of ambivalence on the issue, and seen the slowness at getting tickets. I'm tired of this shit. Either we fill up a second room (that means 4 more people at minimum) or I'm going to have a decision to make. That decision will be made by July 18th.
Choice 1: Call Hilton, cancel reservation of 1 room, make someone's day.
Choice 2: Call Lucas, inform him that I have a room for rent, and have him take responsibility for what people do within. Due to last year's craziness, I do NOT want to have to babysit what's going on in the other room, should they decide to throw a room party. Also, if it's just Jess, Jonny, Jeph and I in one room, we will not be hosting a party.
Last note: Screw AWA. I went last year because I got in free. This year ain't worth it. The steady decline of AWA has made me realize that... oh yeah, Dragon*Con has like, 5 AWA's inside of it! Oh and they're designed for adults! Huzzah!
