The home stretch

52 days, 23 hours, 22 minutes, and 9 seconds from the moment I type this until 4PM July 28th, the date of my final check from TCBY and my projected time of departure for Virginia. It's crunch time.

I think it's time to make an actual list of things that need to be done.

1) Learn to drive.

2) Call Russell and find out Frank's specific departure times and conform mine to that.

3) Talk to Becca, Rob, and Erik to see who would be the best to live with, then pick so they can prepare for my arrival.

4) Fill out the proper forms to get a Visa Checkcard and credit card. After that, convert all money to traveler's checks and send them to my uncle so he can deposit them in my Navy Federal account.

5) Start pricing cars and U-Haul trucks\trailers to see which is the best idea to go with.

6) Talk to my parents about the route they took moving here and study it.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I also got more good news the other day. My dad told me that they were going to give me the money for gas and motels on my trip. Hoo. Ray.

Oh yeah. The trip was pretty cool. I got to have a great conversation with Grandpa Murray. Lots of advice and encouragement on starting life on my own. That's what I love about my father's parents, time with them is most definately quality over quantity. The entire week long trip was worth that thirty minute conversation with him. Just like my three week visit years ago. The entire three weeks was worth the day I spent drawing and talking with my grandmother. Other than that the time that wasn't spent waiting for fourteen people to get organized during outings was spent playing videogames with my aunt Brenda. This apparently turned into a family reunion. Overall it was rather nice.
