Ryuunosuke opened his eyes. A soft groan was released as he tried to sit up. He still looked a little worse for wear since the team had gotten quite the beating from Doukouku and his minions, and the still weren't done, he knew. He had also had a bit of a hard landing, not to mention that the portal kinda shocked him and forced him out of henshin.
Henshin? That's right! He was fighting against Doukouku at the time he had seen the portal. He, of course, had gone through in hopes of finding a way to stop the Gedoushu but...
"Where am I?" he asked aloud, looking around. He slowly took a knee as a shooting pain from the shock and landing surged through his body.
"Ow..." came a weak utter. He started to take inventory of what he had with him. Shudophone? Check. Ryuu origami? It was currently flying around him as if on watch for some reason. Shinkenmaru? It was easily summoned and currently in his right hand. Disks? As he checked to see which disks he had, the kabuki actor found that he only had his black and water disks. Where was the kajiki disk? Why didn't he have it?
No, now wasn't the time to worry about that. He slowly stood up, pain still shooting through his body as he looked around for something, anything. While he could tell that this wasn't the Sanzu River, he wasn't sure where exactly he was. He vaguely remembered mention of someplace called 'Corinth' - was that where he was now?
"Takeru! Kotoha! Mako! Chiaki! Genta! Jii-san! Where are you?" he called out, hoping for someone to answer. He was hoping for someone human, but he wasn't sure if that's what he would get. However, just to be safe he would have the Shudophone ready just in case.
Kotoha headed towards where the new transported person would be, surprised that she had volunteered to help with this. It wasn't smart, not really. She wasn't good at explaining things. At least Saki was here, she'd be able to do that much better.
And then she heard a familiar voice. "Ryuu-san?" she asked to herself, running forward, pretty sure that Saki would follow her.
Dante followed behind the two women, having decided they needed back up in case anything went down. His hand flipped around Caliban's amulet but he was waiting, watching. At least Kotoha seemed to know this young man.
As Ryuu Origami folded itself up into his hand, Ryuunosuke looked over to see figures coming towards him. His body was still weary from not only the fight he had been a part of but being dragged here with some unknown intention. He gripped onto his Shinkenmaru tighter, ready to fight just in case it might be an enemy.
Taking a few steps forward, the kabuki actor forced himself to call on the strength he knew he had deep down. He tried to figure out who the figures were as they got closer to him. He would ask questions when they got to each other. Right now, he just needed to get to where there were other humans.
Ryuunosuke had forgotten how he looked. He knew he had wounds from when Doukouku attacked. He probably looked like he'd been through hell and back. Not only that but the way he was standing probably didn't help either - darned electrical shock.
"Ah... Sorry..." he apologized. He gave a knowing look to Kotoha - perhaps they would speak about it later. "I'm fine. I've fought with worse wounds than these." He tried to smile as he looked at them. He could still feel a bit of the electricity within him, but he'd walk it off to wherever they needed to go.
"This isn't a place to be wounded in the field kid, so I'll get an ambulance down here as soon as possible." said Dante with a frown. "I'll cast Everfight, see if I can't heal some of those wounds if you'll let me."
"These are minor compared to others I've had. Trust me, I've had much worse than this," Ryuunosuke spoke again, "Kotoha can tell you. There have been a couple battle where we've been damaged much worse than this."
He still wasn't going to tell them that it was Doukouku himself that caused these wounds. It was just as well that some of the Nanashi had taken a couple fair swings at him. At least the electric feeling was fading away. It honestly wasn't as bad as when he and Kotoha had protected Takeru from not only an Ayakashi but Juuzo.
"Don't worry, I've seen people more stubborn than your friend here," said Dante with a little grin. "Still, let's get a transport out here before he falls over."
Picking up his radio, he added, "Welcome to Corinth. We'll give you the grand tour once you're on your feet. Oh and Everfight!"
Ryuunosuke sighed. He was trying to say that he was fine - and for the most part he probably was. At least he thought he was. He didn't know the full extent of his injuries, but he felt okay. He would have protested more, but Kotoha was there and he didn't feel like arguing too much more.
"So this is Corinth..." he uttered softly as he looked around. As he heard the word Everfight, he wondered what was going on. He felt some of his wounds heal, but not all of them. He was sure all of them would heal, but he'd probably find out later why.
"Basically put, we're all that stands between this city and complete annihilation," added on Dante. "We're the first, last and only line of defense against the machines. Those things you see scattered everywhere are grinders, their shock troops."
"I've read it. I understand it. I'm ready to fight whenever," he spoke. His hand gripped his origami that lay inside his pocket, his other hand still gripping tightly to his Shudouphone. He'd fight as long as it took for whoever needed him. While Takeru probably wouldn't be happy with him, he'd stay for as long as he was needed.
He had, by this time, made the Shinkenmaru disappear. He didn't need it like he did when he first gotten up. He just stood there, ready to fight some machines. Boy, this would bring back memories for him if they had to. He didn't know just how familiar the 'grinders' would be. But at the moment he didn't care.
