Dear Journal, ...

I've not been great keeping up my updates, I know.
I've been drugged up heavily for nearly a week now as I had a bit of a Rheumatism attack. I've been suffering off and on since I took one in the name of service a couple of years ago. Sometimes, bad weather sets things off. It creeps on similarly to a migraine until I can no longer move my shoulder, lift my arm or do anything useful, not even sleep. Cocodamol is my best friend, but everything turns slightly hazy for a couple of hours. I haven't been sleeping soundly for a couple of days now, but the pain is tapering off now - touch wood.

We've had people 'round for a second viewing of the house earlier, so that's still moving on as well. All in all, I can't complain. I'm sure it's merely a matter of time until the place sells and I can start making another place "home".

My assistant Paul has a day off today, but he called me anyway to see if I needed something. That's dedication for you! Another crazy without a life. Well, that's not really true, I do have a life now that I've promised my husband that I won't work Sundays anymore, unless there is an emergency.

We've had a good week, went to the cinema together, had some lunch, cooked together, I made him coffee this morning. Things are fragile, still, but we are getting on better now, we're both trying hard.

Got a call from my mother this morning, so we chatted for an hour or so while I was doing some house work. This definitely makes working more enjoyable. I can only recommend it. "Ehm... did you just use the toilet while I'm speaking to you, dear?" "No Mum, I'm cleaning it.".
Anyway, silly, moving swiftly on.

Back to paperwork now and a lovely fresh cup of coffee :)
