Dear Santa:
First of all, if you're going "WTF?" with all but one of the entries on my request list, I'm sorry. I hope you don't want to kill me now! On the upside, though, there's so little fic in any of these fandoms, that really, whatever you want to write will be doubly appreciated. It honestly is happy-making just to have a story written for me, in any one of those fandoms, and I hope you have a good time doing it.
So feel free to ignore what's under this cut-tag, unless you're stuck, or curious.
The Kenzie/Genarro series: I love these guys, but there's so much of Angie that we only see in little pieces. There are these memorable scenes with her mobbed-up family, and clearly she's got some strong emotions there that we only see a little bit of. Plus of course the whole backstory of her marriage to Phil, which is such a big part of the first two books but is barely mentioned thereafter. So I asked for these two to see more of her, and her relationship to the people in her life other than Patrick, although I'm not saying don't include him if you want to!
Superman Returns: I am a giant Superman fangirl, and the whole Jason White plotline punched every emotional button I have and then some. I love how grown-up the adults in his life are. I love that this kid's weakness is also a sign of his difference, and his strength. I love that Superman wants to be part of his life, but knows he has to stay on the sidelines for now, and I love that Lois honestly does love Richard and Superman, in different ways. There's a lot to play with in what might happen a year, two years, ten years from the end of the movie; have fun.
Julian Kestrel:
I just re-read these books, and I told
cereta that if I thought I had a shot in hell of getting a Julian Kestrel story out of it I might agree to do Yuletide. So if you are writing this, know that you'll not only please me, but give her the chance to do the Dance of Yuletide Superiority for all of next year.
As to the actual story, well, I know Kate Ross originally intended to keep the series going until the founding of Scotland Yard, which if I'm adding right would be long enough for Pippa Fontclair to reach her coming-out year. Which in turn could lead to all sorts of opportunities for Julian to have to come to terms with feeling very different things for her than he did when she was a child! I think Ross meant them for each other, and I think a grown Pippa would be good for him: she's smart, and inquisitive, and rich, all of which he needs. But really, any story with Julian Kestrel would be aces; there weren't enough of them, alas.
