Rich people.
as most of you know i am a waitress. server. "excuse me maam can i have another lemon for my water?". today i got very very upset at work. i work at fridays, mind you...cuz ITS ALWAYS FUN AT FRIDAYS.
today i had a party of 9. it was this little girls musta been like 9th or 10th birthday. i dont have a problem with birthdays, in fact i go all out for them. the people were nice they were just...rich. it was 4 women, 2 teenage girls and 3 little girls. you could tell none of them worked a single day in their lifetimes. chances are they were born into a rich family. the little girl got a louis vuitton purse as one of her presents for her birthday. when i was 10, if i got a purse id be like what the fuck is this shit? she was like i love purses im and i quote "im going to add it to my collection"
live how you want. i have no problem with little girls who like purses, what i had a problem with is the richness. i dont think its fair that people get everything handed to them on a silver platter. ive worked alot to get as far as i have..which isnt very far. i looked around to all my fellow fridays employees and realized that they dont live like that little girl either. you will never see a server drive up to your house in a car worth more than 25,000 unless they are married to a wealthy person.
i mentioned this to a friend of mine who i work with and he said look at it this way...there are people in third world countries who wish they had it as good as YOU. that was very true, and i guess i am lucky, but i dont like people showing their wealth off and flailing it around.
by the way their bill came out to 150, with $19 gratuity. they didnt leave me anything on the side. thats another thing that kinda pisses me off. if you have money dont be greedy. i know these people have never worked, let alone in the restraunt service business, so they dont know how it is making 2 dollars on a 20 dollar check and have to get over it. they are not hurting for money if theyre buying their kids louis vuitton purses for their birthday. some people amaze me sometimes. im a waitress and i tip at least 25% whenever i go out and i am NOT RICH BY ANY MEANS.
