LJ anniversary
Actually, my anniversary won`t be until November, six years November 11 to be exact. It hardly seems possible :). The site is ten years old today, however so I thought I`d share a bit about how I got here.
I`d seen Live Journal mentioned quite often at different site, so I decided to check it myself just out of curiosity. When I did, I was surprised to see how names I recognized from the fan fiction communities. This really got me interested in getting an LJ account for myself, but that required a code a the time. I could have bought one, of course, but I didn`t know how to do that at the time. So I kept waiting, and reading entries when I got the chance.
Not long after that, Live Journal came up as a discussion topic at Parma-Eruseen, where I was a moderator and regular poster. I mentioned at the time that I`d like one, so the site administrator edeainfj sent me an invitation code. Thanks, Dee Dee, if you`re reading this. I always think about you at times like this :).
I`ve made some wonderful friends here since then, and learned an incredible amount from the people and the LJ communities I`ve been part of. My journal has been a source of comfort and encouragement during difficult times in my life and a source of joy at all times. Thank you all for making that possible. I can`t imagine being anywhere else now. *big hugs for all you*.
