A late entry tonight
in fact, I really debated about whether to post it tonight or tomorrow, but I decided to now and my husband had no objections. We've been busy with the painting, but it's going well. I've made a few mistakes, but then I'm not really experienced with this and most people think I did a good job anyway.
with it's first coat of paint:
darker than we planned, but that's all right because I was planning to glaze it and give it a textured finished.
It just needs the trim repainted white. I might reglaze the part over the sink, but that should be quite easy because the glaze is water based. For all practical purposes, it's finished now. Our next major project is the main bathroom upstairs.
I know it's a mess, but this is just the beginning. We should have it finished by the end of the month. We're quite happy about that, as you can imagine but I was surprised to see that our son is even more excited. He said recently he was tired of seeing white everywhere he look, but we just realized how much. We promised him that when the time comes to paint his room, we'll do it the way he wants it, and he's already chosen the pattern. I think the rest of the downstairs area is going to be next, and it should be interesting. :)
