I've been so anti-social lately

Aug 03, 2008 22:39

I didn't mean to be, I just get distracted easily. The only I've been posting regularly is at the photo journal community and even then, I sometimes let it slip for a day or two. An ideal time to do some writing would have been last Friday while I was waiting for my flower stand to get set up. I didn't have much else to do except wait. I was told not to go into the store next to stand because the manager's not nice. She sounds really mean in fact. I haven't had the dubious pleasure of meeting this person, but I heard she made another flower stand worker cry. It too bad some people are like that, but c'est la vie.

Speaking of flowers, my correspondence course is getting more complicated. I not only have to learn the English names of the flower parts, but their Greek and Latin ones too. Oh well, that part isn't really comprehensive and the program is still interesting. Actually, I would rather be taking a different kind of course: novel writing. I'd like to writing a fantasy book for children or Young Adults. I never understood that term but it's what publishing industry uses for anyone over eight. This flower course seemed more important, however and they'll be plenty of time for that when things start to look up career wise.

Things are getting more interesting at the office now. Instead of everyone being part of the opportunity meeting at the same time as guests, we're now having a series of workshops in the other rooms. Not everyone is allowed to come any more, just people who are asked to by the RVP or who bring guests. I was allowed to because I'm in the newly licensed category. One thing I got out of the last one is that I need to work on talking to people which I already know. That's the only way to get better at it of course. Another thing said that was very interesting, is that in this business, people can't be afraid of what people say to them or about them. In fact, if no one's saying anything negative about a person, that's usually a sign that they don't do enough. I got bolder after hearing that, and I might have gotten a guest for Tuesday. I love it when things work out like that. :)

We're going to start working on the bathroom in a couple weeks. I already have the colour scheme and the paint finish picked out. No pictures yet, but they're coming. On the subject of colours, this quiz I found from my F-list:

Your result for The Color Code Test...
Color Code: WHITE: The Peace Keeper

9% Red, 26% Blue, 63% White and 3% Yellow!

Here is the basics: For a more in depth analysis, I suggest you look up the Color Code, and take a more intensive test.

WHITE MOTIVE: PEACE

WHITE NEEDS: To feel good (inside), To be allowed their own space, To be respected, Tolerance.

WHITE WANTS: To withhold insecurities, Kindness, Independence, Contentment.

SUMMARY: Whites are motivated by peace. They will do almost anythign to avoid confrontation. They like to flow through life without hassle or discomfort. Feeling good is even more important to them then being good. Whites need kindness. They resent being scolded. They dislike harsh words. They open up instantly to people who are kind, but Whites recoil from those who are hostile. Whites prefer quiet strength. they enjoy thier quiet independence. This can often be percieved as bullheadedness. Whites like to keep a low profile. They like to be asked their opinions but they won't volunteer them. Whites are independent. Unlike Reds and Blues who want to control others, Whites seek only to avoid being controlled. They don't like to be pushed, and they can be fearsome when they finally "blow up." Whites are motivated by other peoples desires. They want suggestions however, not demands.
