When I was a poor student (back in the dim and distant days of the mid-90s) I would occasionaly entertain myself by browsing the Argos catalogue for the exotic and glamorous items that would, at some far off and future date, find their way into my very own flat (and also for the hideous and disgusting items that would under no circumstances be welcome).
This weekend I got to play that game for real. And suddenly it's a lot less fun when you have to take into account an actual budget and a list of items that you _need_ rather than want because they look pretty, would be fun to have, or are just too comedy not to buy. But at least I can now extend the game to the IKEA catalogue.
I feel a Blue Peter-ish urge for scissors and glue and a big collage of furniture...
