Winter Camping
Yesterday Kyle, Karen, Matt and I went winter camping at Kettle Moraine State Campgrounds. It was quite an experience. It really wasn't as cold as i had expected, that is until this morning when I woke up shaking.
We got there around 1pm, set up camp, then went for a hike. The kettles and moraines were both very pretty. I'm an idiot though and forgot my camera on the hike, which sucks because it was sunset and we walked to a lake. Oh well. Then we started our fire around 4pm, got it on the first try because we have mad firestarter skillz. Kept a pretty good flame until about midnight when we went to bed in our three sided shelter. Which was pretty creepy considering I could here some sort of wolf, fox, whatever, howling all night.
