Thanks for the support sent my way after my last post - got a bit of an update for you all.
By the time i'd gotten home, the hospital had let my dad leave - though they'd made no actual diagnosis. They did a brain scan and his tumour hasn't changed at all since the last time he went in for his standard checkup. They suspected that the tumour might've bled a little, but there's no evidence of it. Personally, with my vast amounts of ER, Scrubs and House based medical experience, I think it was probably a blockage in a minor artery/vein - whether due to his (apparently) high colesterol level (they gave him a pill to lower it upon his leaving the hospital) or a blood clot (though he's on blood thinners anyway). In either case, i reckon it was a case of a blockage forming, and as soon as it sealed off, the pressure increased enough to clear it - and of course it just happens to occur in the same sort of area as the tumour... But no one really knows.
Ah well, he's home now and we're trying to keep him as un-stressed as possible (the couple times he suffered from this thing over the last few days, he seemed to be stressed and agitated at the time...) Which mainly involves watching lots of tele. I think i'll be coming back to brum at the end of this week, friday/saturday - then be stay there for a week until reading week, and then come back home again like i'd originally planned.
