Things That Are Awesome ('Cause I Haven't Updated In a While - What's Up With That?)
• Ste got an iPhone so he's going to give me his iPod Touch. I don't need a Touch - my iPod works just fine - but I think they're damn nifty and it's free and only a year old so YAY!! I'm going to visit him at school next Wednesday so I'll pick it up then. Haven't decided what to name it yet. If you have any suggestions for apps (preferably free), I'd love to hear 'em.
• Discussing the idea of a book club with my college friends Intensity. I hope it works out; I think it would be loads of fun.
• Speaking of books, I have discovered John Green. Read Looking For Alaska a few days ago and very much enjoyed it. I've been watching Vlogbrothers vids on YouTube and have fallen in love with John and Hank. Can't wait to read more of John's stuff.
• I'm up through 5x10 of Stargate SG-1. BOOYEAH, CHIEF.
• My friends Bryan and Arlene are gonna have a boy. Hooray for them! Also, they're coming over on the 11th to watch the Notre Dame game with me on our big, gorgeous tv. I'm very excited.
• I saw Scott Pilgrim today yesterday. It was super fun! I loved the typography and all ways they used video game/comic book visuals. Very, very neat.
• Birthday soon! I asked for the day off work. Mom asked why, what I planned to do. My answer: "Not be at work." I really don't have any plans - it's not like I have anyone to hang out with - but even a day spent in front of the tv or on the couch reading will be a better birthday than one spent standing at a cash register.
• I figured out my fall television schedule:
Monday
7-7:30 -- How I Met Your Mother [9/20]
7-8 -- Chuck [9/20]
9-10 -- Castle [9/20]

Tuesday
7-8 -- NCIS [9/21]
7-8 -- Glee* [9/21]
9-10 -- Sanctuary [9/28]

Wednesday
7-8 -- Undercovers [9/22]

Thursday
7-8 -- Bones [9/23]
7-7:30 -- Community [9/23]**
7-7:30 -- Big Bang Theory [9/23]

Sunday
??-?? -- The Walking Dead [10/31]

*Haven't decided if I'm definitely keeping Glee or not. It's entertaining if you ignore all the gaping plot holes and lack of character development, but the second half of the season was pretty craptastic compared to the first half and I'm not wild about the addition of a so-called "Christian" character. I figure I'll give it a week or two to see how it goes and decide from there.
** Our DVR can only tape 2 things at once, so Community is going to have to wait for Hulu/OnDemand.
