I'm about 150 pages into The Book Thief. YOU GUYS WERE TOTALLY RIGHT. This book is gorgeous.

GQ's "Geekdom's Council of Elders" interview with JJ Abrams, Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, Bryan Burk, Robert Orci, and Alex Kurtzman: Part 1, part 2, and part 3. I highly recommend reading this; they talk about Fringe and Lost and Star Trek mostly, but these guys are so smart and so funny that the whole thing is just gold. (And we learn that Damon watches two kinds of tv shows: "Procedural TV, and Joss Whedon’s shows and JJ’s shows.")
