Battlestar Galactica 4x20: Daybreak Part II
In no kind of order at all:
Admiral Hoshi! And President Romo Lampkin! The latter made me laugh very hard.
I had never considered how happy Gaius/Six would make me. I'd actually kinda forgotten how awesome they were together way back when. She said she was proud of him! They could see each other's head!selves!! She knows that he knows about farming! GAIUS/SIX FTW.
RDM loses for letting me twist about Helo FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF. SERIOUSLY? I mean, I'm obviously giddy that he's okay and the three of them get to live as a happy family forever and ever amen but did you have to let me think he was dying for an hour and a half. (Also, giant Tahmoh carrying a small child is too precious for words.)
On the shallow end: Gaius, Helo, and Lee in tac-team gear!!
Boomer made good on her debt! That was cool.
DUDE THE OPERA HOUSE IN CIC. That was crazy. And awesome. Going back that far and bringing it back and actually addressing it and having it match up so awesomely and I was pretty much staring open-mouthed at my television. And Bear brought back "Shape of Things To Come" during it!
Bear actually brought back soooooooo many themes. I recognized so many. But the music was fantastic, per usual.
Soooo Kara. KARA WAS AN ANGEL THIS WHOLE TIME? I actually find that kinda cool. A lot cool actually. And the song was the coordinates! (We never did learn about Daniel, did we?) And she just disappeared. While Lee was all little-boy-excited about exploring the planet!! HE WAS SO PRECIOUS. And I felt so bad when Kara disappeared because he'd just watched Adama and Roslin fly off into the sunset. And drunk!Lee and drunk!Kara in flashbacks!! And blacked-out!Zak and his "Oops! Something broke!" LOL. You two were doomed for the start. It's a shame.
OMG Adama and Roslin. Those two. He was just talking about their cabin and gardening and he didn't notice at first and... *heart breaks* AND HE DID THE RING THING from her visions!
When they first jumped to the Colony and Galactica was taking so much fire... that was hard to watch. I get attached to the ships in sci-fi movies and shows. Hardcore. They were destroying my ship and it was breaking my heart.
Flashback!drunk!Tigh's "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" was oddly hilarious.
Cavill committed suicide. CRAZY.
Anders is flying into the sun, huh. Also crazy.
Okay so when they land on Earth-That-Was and they're being all sneaky spies about the other humans, I was so amused by the group assembled in the grass. Tigh, Cottle, Adama, Hoshi, and Gaius. COTTLEEEEE. So awesome.
GO CHIEF. I'd kinda forgotten that no one knew Tory had killed Cally, so when she started getting all nervous I was like "OH SNAP, GALEN IS GONNA KILL YOU" and then he did. In the words of Wendy Watson, "Swift justice." And now Galen's all happy alone on an island. Huh.
God doesn't like to be called God? LMAO. I love that. And head!Gaius and head!Six (angel!Gaius&Six??) are still rockin' out 150,000 years later. And reading over RDM's shoulder. Don't you love non-subtle showrunner cameos? (Aaron Sorkin, I'm looking at you.)
So we're all half-n-half, huh? Nifty.
The very very end was cheesy and stupid, but overall I really liked it. Lots of action, lots of closure.
P.S. I did not cry. *pats self on back*
