I feel like I complain about grad school a lot so I thought I should make a post when something good comes along. We have to make a "pathfinder" for my Reference Sources and Services class; basically if someone goes to the library and says "I want information on ________" and we have a pathfinder on ______ we can just hand that over and it has all kinds of resource suggestions. Or something. So we have to pick a topic and find at least 20 resources for it, basically. And I picked Sherlock Holmes.
AND I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN "RESEARCHING" SHERLOCK HOLMES. I'm basically breaking it up between nonfiction/biographical resources (history and the like), adult derivative fiction/adaptations, and stuff for kids. Like, I spent an hour looking at a books called The Encyclopedia Sherlockiana and The Complete Guide to Sherlock Holmes and then I checked out some Encyclopedia Brown books from the library tonight. IN THE NAME OF RESEARCH.
