I am officially caught up on Eureka.
I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS BAR TOWN.
I knew I'd like the show, but I didn't know I'd love this show so freaking much.
ALLISON IS ON THE ASTRAEUS. JO'S ON A WALKABOUT. THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE THE ASTRAEUS IS. CARTER'S GONNA HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF KEVIN AND JENNA. THAT FINALE.
Other random things I love:
I adore Deputy Andy and you have to love a show that makes you ship a house and a robot. I love Henry and Grace and the relationship they've made. I love responsible!Zane and the friendship (with benefits) he and Jo had going on. Fargo amuses the hell outta me and I loved the friendship he and Zane developed after "Liftoff." And "The Ex Files" with Nathan; holy crap, that was hilarious. And Carter and Jo are totally on my list of favorite opposite gender, non-romantic, [generally] law-enforcement partnerships. (YES, THIS IS A REAL LIST THAT I HAVE.) Oh and that ep when Jo and Zoey saved the town whilst being pissed at each other; hooray for kickass ladies! And I'm so freaaaaking happy Jack and Allison finally got together. :D
Special mention must go to Colin Ferguson, who is just fantastic. His Carter is just perfect. His goofy face and the way he screams when he freaks out and he totally rocks the physical comedy (see: anytime Carter fights gravity) and I always have a soft spot for guys in authority positions who play dumb/act goofy but are actually very competent at their jobs (see: Jack O'Neill, Pete Lattimer, Tony DiNozzo, etc.).
AND THE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL OMGGGGGGGGG. That was perfect. PERFECT. Like, I just had a huge grin on my face the whole time. The animation and the music and the story and Zoey, Kevin, and Jenna being adorable together. (Seriously, the little girl playing Jenna is TOO CUTE.) (Also, I'm a sucker for family stuff.) And Jim Parsons as Carl the jeep and EJO as Rudy the sled dog!!
Has anyone counted how many jeeps Carter has gone through in four seasons? This is a figure I would be interested in knowing. (I love that Carl referenced this in the Christmas ep.)
When does this show come back? "2012" IS NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH.
Basically, this show is just frakking delightful and it makes me happy and it's always nice to have shows like that.
(I always hate it when I get to the end of a marathon, when all you want to do is keep watching episodes of _______ but there aren't any left and you sit there like "Well, what do I do now?" I have other shows I want to watch over break, but I'm gonna have to give myself a few days because I just want to keep watching Eureka right now.)
P.S. If anyone has Jason Mraz's cover of "Rocket Man" that was played in the finale and could upload it for me, I would be so very appreciative.
