Sanctuary 3x12: Hangover
Hangover >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pax Romana. It's not that I didn't like Pax Romana, it just wasn't one of my favorites. Plenty of bits to love but this was a whole episode of love. Three things I love in tv/movies: non-linear storytelling, unreliable narrators, and well-coreographed fight scenes. This episode had all three. So much fighting and and hilarity and Mom!Magnus trying to corral the three kids. And BIGGIE! Playing basketball with Kate and refusing to go in the elevator because the building is haunted [again] and covering Magnus by being a target, lol. Basically, I loved this whole episode like crazy. I feel like the cast had a ton of fun filming this one. :D
Not wild about Sanctuary's move to Monday only because it's on the same time as Castle. On the other hand, we get a new episode tomorrow. :D
Doctor Who 6x01: The Impossible Astronaut
I'm resorting to a list because I'm having a problem with coherent thoughts.
1. O.T. FREAKING. 4. I love the four of them together LIKE WHOA.
2. So much Amy/Rory and Eleven/River. Being all domestic in their apartment and syncing their diaries and flirting and "Mrs. Robinson."
3. All the stuff at the beginning that was shot in Utah was ridiculously gorgeous.
4. These aliens are weeping-angels-level scary. You can see them over and over and never remember it? HOLY CRAP.
5. I, for one, welcome our new robot Mark Sheppard overlords.
6. I PRETTY MUCH LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND, OKAY? I CAN'T LIST EVERYTHING. I'M SO GLAD IT'S BACK. IS IT NEXT SATURDAY YET?
7. "We're his friends. We do what the Doctor's friends always do: as we're told." Pardon me while my heart breaks.
8. I raved about this episode enough (and made sure to mention that "Manservant Neville" was in it a few times - since she can never remember Mark Sheppard's name) that Mom watched it with me. And she liked it! Crossing my fingers that next week is as amazing as this one and that I can convince her to keep watching. (She was adorably worried about Rory for most of the episode.)
Charlie McDonnell wrote a song about Doctor Who. It's awesome, go listen.
I'm actually ahead on the HP Reread right now. I haven't been ahead, um, ever. I was actually super behind until a few days ago and finally caught up for the first time since CoS. Mwahahaha.
