Spent CNY's eve watching The Last Samurai with Roy, JZ and Jon, was a pretty good show but well, not much of a re-watch value.
CNY was a pretty monotonous this year, the usual greetings and the usual question, "When are you going to bring your girlfriend to let me see?" asked my grandmother. "Ah Ma, didn't I told you last year that I did not have any?" would came the swift reply. "But I want to see great-grand children!..." whinced the grandmother. Well, being the eldest and being 22 this year definately has its demerits, gone is my perkiness as a child and now its been replaced with a non-chalant attitude that I carried around with me whenever I'm with my relatives. I hate that.
Roy popped over at my place yesterday to do some CNY greetings, called Jon up to see if he wants to do some gambling at my place. Upon hearing the words "Pua Kiao" (stands for gambling in hokkien), he was over at my place faster you could say "Chua Dai Dee".... Well, Roy was the casualty of the gambling session as Jon the comeback king came from behind to win with eight dollars due to his miracle wins at Black Jack. "Gor Leng Kia" he shall come to be known as....
Silver Hawk was a medicore show though it isn't as bad as I presumed it would be. Maybe its due to the numerous cute china gals thats flooding the screen every now an then to prevent the show into plunging to a B-grade heaven... in my opinion that is.. heh. The movie could be enjoyed more if it wasn't for the "Leg Shakers", JZ and Jon who have this penchant for shaking their legs whenever theres an action scene. Since the seats were connected, I spent half of the movie wondering if its the bastard thats sitting behind me doing the leg kickings.
Oh well, another year has come to pass, but alas I'm still the same old Siang Hwee, maybe more dumb now due to following too much orders in army. I'm still single and searching, but I guess free time now would be a luxury with frequent exercises happening in the squadron, not to mention that I'm desprately trying to find time studying for SAT test, learn website creations, improve my drawings.. etc etc. 1 year 9 more months to ORD. Damm, its long...
