yesterday was daniel's 28th birthday. hooray! i get to be with a sexy older man for six months. ;)

i managed to put together a birthday party for him in one day. i dropped him off at work in the morning(my car is still waiting to get fixed), then picked up samuraikitten and drove to the mother of all diddams on el camino and gathered up decorations for daniel'

Sometime you should come see the place now that it's pretty much all set up!

Unfortunately the parachuting aliens' parachutes got all inextricably tangled with each other. So I cut them off and now they just sit on my Alesis keyboard. I also put glow-in-the-dark stars on the wall in there, so there's lots of glowy stuff.

no no, i like the burn/pain of a good work out. seriously. it means i worked muscles i didn't have before. kinda like the first day after going snowboarding after not going for a while, your body is almost paralyzed in pain, its great! ;)

Hmm, the counter and the coffee table? Get a new table that fits in your space? Ikea trip might be in order? :D

There's not that much counter space actually, I had more at the old place.

It turns out I went to Ikea on Sunday to look for more CD shelves but I didn't like anything they had. I did see some tables and desks that might be suitable though (I want to get a small desk since eventually I'm getting a 2nd computer just for music, and just using the existing one for going online and other everyday stuff)

i think that was the most fun i've ever had moving. stacey is cool, got to catch up with michael and actually talk with christian, i'd only ever met him in passing before really. plus i got to try THE RUM OF THE GODS! :)

Heh, I wouldn't have thought you'd have considered the RUM OF THE GODS to be one of the highlights of the day! But, yeah, that was pretty fun on account of good company.

Good company can make hard work a lot more pleasant. When I was in college I took a temp assembly job for about a week during Christmas break. It was hard work, long hours, we started at 5 AM every morning, and it was in an unheated warehouse during December. But I was working with my friend/bandmate at the time Joe, and we would BS and sing Ramones songs so it was a lot more pleasant.

Thats very true, you peeps were good company. That was actually my first time trying rum, so I didn't really have anything to compare it to. Alcohol usually tastes bad most of the time anyways. ;) That shot hit me pretty hard on an empty stomach. I was pretty buzzed!

Oh yeah, another thing... I hear the Indian techno late at night too! But I can only hear it in the living room so it doesn't bother me... and hopefully this means they won't have too much of a problem with me making music above their heads!
