The holidays were about as low key and down as I'd seen them since being here. I wasn't really sure how to describe it, but it was just downright dreary in this place lately and I wasn't real sure if that was likely to change anytime soon.
I was putting away a few things when I heard a knock at my door. I said come in to whoever it was and finished closing up a few drawers. Turning around, I saw Connor there and I smiled. Was it weird that in everything going on that I couldn't wait to be alone or spend time with him? It was weird for a lot of other people, but not for me and well, I was pretty sure not for him and hey that's all that mattered.
There was a bag in his hand, though, and I frowned a little. Where was he going? Dear lord if he left for something again I really would go crazy here.
"Hey, what's up? Why the bag?"
