Splice was a great movie. Really…REALLY messed up. But, awesome.

Made me think of something though. Most if not all movies about genetic testing turn out bad. It either results in monsters or zombies. Why not show a movie where we do human cloning, test on inmates, sneak drugs into tap water, or any of the other things that people riot over and fear and have like…a miracle cure for everything happen? Show something miraculous and GOOD happening from what we deem as immoral or unethical. You know, maybe mix it up a bit instead of generically labeling everything as BAD.

Maybe I’m wrong, but if someone used some imprisoned douchebag as a guinea pig and came up with the cure for cancer…do you REALLY think the masses would refuse the cure because of how it was procured? I’m sure there’d be your bleeding heart, PETA equivalent nutjobs that would refute and protest it, but there are people that refuse to give their babies MEDICINE. Like today. Happening right now. There are babies that will be sick and possibly DIE because their parents don’t believe in medicine. And yet, these seem to be the types of people that get all the attention and actually make changes happen. So let’s challenge that with a movie that does the exact opposite.

Well, whatever. I’m going back to my Netflix now.
