Random piece of a conversation from earlier:
V: It's sucky that people who are considered important get away with more things.
Me: It's pretentious to claim you care.
V: How?
Me: If some dude invented a cure for cancer, all on his own in a basement; the same basement he lured little boys into to have his evil way with, would you decline the cure on principal? If the formula was his own design and only HE got to decide who gets it, would you say it was OK to let the formula go should he decide NOT to use it? Would you lock him away forever and let the formula die with him?
