Sunday Practice, 26 April 2008
So the circuit is heating up in anticipation of the upcoming race on 2-3 May. Change this. Change that. No progress.
Modify this, switch that, seeing a bit of improvement.
Test different carburettor. There we go. Adjust main jet. Got more power. Finally, adjust the jet needle. Prep for final run.
3 laps in, flooring.... and then a tiny bolt from my brake pedal flew off.
CRASH.
The result (webcam view):
The arm with the bracelet is my left. The one with no bracelet is swelling.
Another angle of the swell..
That elbow hit something, probably the engine.
I put ice on them for the whole night and it seemed to help curb the swelling. Feels kinda cool to have battle scars though. And I laughed through it all, too :P
Day 2: called in the masseus, had a 3 hour session in the morning. Turns out the ligaments in my right carpal are all out of whack and she tried to put them back where they belong, but because of the swelling she could only do so much.
Day 2 result:
The reddish part is the result of the blood that finally flows properly again.
Battered n bruised :P
Day 3: another 3 hour session with the masseus. Finally got hold of the carpal ligaments. She did all she could do, but finally decided to let the wrist rest for a few days to give them time to settle.
Day 3 result:
Red turns to blue.
Finally red patches on the carpal.
I think it goes without saying that I'm NOT RACING this weekend. :P
